What this platform can honestly promise, and what it cannot. Worth reading before a compatibility score or a verified badge carries more weight with you than it should.
1.We introduce; we do not vouch
Every profile here is reviewed by a person before it appears, and we take that seriously. But a review is a reasonable check on the evidence offered — a counsellor's reference, a member's referral, a video introduction. It is not an investigation.
We cannot confirm that someone is telling the truth about their character, their intentions, their family, their income, their health or their past. Verification means we found no reason to refuse a profile. It is not a certificate of good character, and it must not be treated as one.
Satisfy yourself about any devotee you speak to, exactly as your family would in any traditional introduction. Involve your family and your temple community. Meet somewhere safe and public. Take your time. If something feels wrong, stop and tell us.
2.No marriage is promised
Membership buys access to a verified community. It does not promise introductions, replies, a match, an engagement or a marriage, and it could not — those depend entirely on other people and on Krishna's arrangement, not on us.
Nothing on this site should be read as predicting that you will marry, or when, or whom.
3.Jyotish is guidance, not prediction
Ashtakoot Guna Milan, Manglik and dosha readings, muhurta selection and horoscope analysis are offered here in the traditional devotional spirit, as aids to reflection and prayer.
They are not statements of fact about the future. A guna score is not a forecast of happiness, and a low one is not a verdict against a match. Countless successful marriages would score poorly, and the reverse is just as true.
Please do not make an irreversible decision — accepting or refusing a proposal, fixing or breaking an engagement — on a compatibility number alone.
4.Counselling is not medical or legal advice
Our pre- and post-marriage counselling is pastoral guidance rooted in Vaishnava tradition. It is not psychiatric or psychological treatment, not medical advice, not legal advice and not financial advice, and it must not be relied upon as any of those.
If you are unwell, or in danger, or facing a legal or financial question, please consult a qualified doctor, therapist, lawyer or accountant. Our counsellors will say the same.
If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services. In India, the national emergency number is 112, and the government's Tele-MANAS mental health helpline is 14416.
5.What devotees write is theirs, not ours
Profiles, introductions and messages are written by members. We review profiles before they appear and remove what breaches our Terms, but we do not endorse anything anyone says about themselves, and we are not responsible for it.
Photographs and video are uploaded by members, who confirm they have the right to use them.
6.The site itself
We work to keep Vivaha Dharma available and correct, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of every defect. Maintenance, provider outages and faults happen.
Where this site links to another — a temple, a service, a resource — we do not control that site and are not responsible for its content or its handling of your data.
7.How this fits with our other terms
This disclaimer sits alongside our Terms of Use and does not replace them. Nothing here excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and nothing here affects your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
